SiteCheckNow checks several important website signals. Here's what each result means.
The website responded to our request and appears to be reachable.
The HTTP status code tells you how the website responded.
200 = successful response
301 / 302 = redirect
400 = bad request
403 = access forbidden
404 = page not found
500 = server error
502 / 503 / 504 = server or gateway problem
Response time shows approximately how long the server took to respond to our request.
Under 200 ms = very fast
200–500 ms = generally good
500–1000 ms = slower
Over 1000 ms = potentially slow
The IP address is the public server address associated with the website hostname we checked.
HTTPS means the connection to the website uses encrypted HTTPS communication.
DNS converts a domain name such as example.com into an IP address. If DNS fails, the hostname may not resolve correctly.
A website may become unreachable because of DNS problems, server outages, hosting issues, network problems, expired domains, configuration errors, or other technical issues.
Keep in mind that an Online result does not guarantee that every part of a website is working perfectly. A website can respond successfully while still having broken pages, slow performance, missing resources, or other problems.
